Children & Youth Services
Children’s Services
Brockville & Area Community Living Association provides advocacy, support and networking opportunities for children and their families.
To ensure that all children have inclusive opportunities in our community and schools. We offer assistance with planning and the completion of applications for support such as:
- Special services at home
- Assistance for children with severe disabilities
- Special needs funding
We have representation on Special Education Advisory Committees for the Upper Canada District School Board and the Catholic School Board of Eastern Ontario.
Youth Services
We offer a transitional program called Thresholds, a passport initiative funded by the provincial Ministry of Community and Social Services. Thresholds assists young people with intellectual disabilities so they can plan and make a successful transition from school to adult life.
Young adults are supported so that they can:
- Experience a variety of community activities
- Make informed choices about their future
- Developed connections between the education system and community agencies
