Developmental Services Human Resources Strategy is a partnership between the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) and the Provincial Network on Developmental Services. It was initiated with a vision to professionalize the sector and ensure the best quality of support for people with developmental disabilities in Ontario. It continues to make significant strides in positioning employment in the developmental services sector as a “career of choice” in Ontario and improving and maintaining a quality workforce in Ontario DD.
The programs of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services help build communities that are resilient, inclusive and sustained by the economic and civic contributions of all Ontarian’s. We offer: Social Assistance (Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program) and Community and Developmental Services.

The Passport program, funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), helps adults with a developmental disability get involved in their communities and live as independently as possible by funding community participation services and supporting, activities of daily living and person-directed planning. The program also funds caregiver respite services and supports for primary caregivers of an adult with a developmental disability.
People with disabilities along with their families now have an online, comprehensive toolkit available to them as they consider their financial obligations and objectives.
